Public Displays of Art
PDA is a improvisational based arts collective whose goal is to create innovative, multidisciplinary and collaborative creations with authenticity and physicality. We not only create new movement but see improvisational methods as a way of freeing the body from habitual movement patterns. We are interested in the creation of movement and visual arts that expresses our engagement with others, our relationship to our environment and to ourselves. We also explore movement in relation to visual imagery, sound and space. PDA creates, produces and performs for audiences in non-traditional venues to make arts accessible and enriching to all.
